Bulleya song from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil or Sultan: Which one do you like better? Aishwarya Rai Bachchan or Salman Khan’s?

When the Bulleya song from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma, was announced, the first thing that came to mind was that Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma’s Sultan had a song with the same title! Well, it is not uncommon to have Bollywood songs with similar names, especially with words like Tere Bin, Tum Bin, Maula, et cetera that have been used for several songs over the years. But of course, Bulleya the song title is special because Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Salman Khan share a romantic history. And so, if fans see that they have a similar song in their separate films released in 2016, they will definitely begin comparing the two Bulleya songs!

Bulleya from Sultan was dedicated to Bulle Shah the great and was a romantic Sufi number, as Salman Khan’s character Sultan pines for his wife Aarfa (Anushka Sharma) who has left him. It is a beautiful tune and catchy in a special way. The Bulleya song from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is also a Sufi love song, but has a rock flavour and has been paced faster. The Bulleya song from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is sung by Amit Mishra and Shilpa Rao, written by Amitabh Bhattacharya andbeen composed by Pritam Chakraborty. Apparently, Pritam has copied Bulleya from multiple sources and also was inspired for the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil title song from older numbers. While the Bulleya song from Sultan was composed by Vishal Shekhar, sung by Papon and written by Irshad Kamil and at least sounds original.
