Previous Supreme Court judges have named the determination went by the two Houses of Karnataka on September 23 to deny Tamil Nadu Cauvery water just a less than ideal misfortune.
They said the determination was no match for the sacred may of the Supreme Court as the last and sole referee of Inter-State and Inter-State water question.
Previous Supreme Court judge, Justice K.T. Thomas said the “determination is just to fit to be kept in the records of the Karnataka Legislature and has no power.”
“Best case scenario, its [Karnataka Legislature] determination can be dealt with as a declaration of feeling or a feedback of the Supreme Court request. Everybody has the privilege to reprimand a court request. Be that as it may, the Supreme Court is the last power in determining between State water debate,” Justice Thomas said.
